ALIBI

A seasoned easy listening rock band with a solid approach that had the crowd on their feet

The third time I have come across these guys, the previous two being in pub environment, but the big stage at the ‘beach’  suits their style

enhances a solid, experienced performance, and lets you truly appreciate the quality and finesse of these talented musicians

local talent shines through yet again. Well done Chorley !!!

Kathy Anderson

Another polished performance from the girl with the big smile and cheerful approach

Kathy is fast becoming a popular favourite with the regulars at  ‘ Chorley Beach’ with her happy go lucky demeanour

and on her third appearance is beginning to make the stage her own ! 🙂

Return visit to the ‘beach’  by the talented local band Aviso, and although it’s only a few weeks since  their last appearance, confidence is growing and so is their repertoire

They seemed almost at home on the amazing illuminated stage (Well Done Calista – who needs Blackpool 🙂  )

The sound system (which I heard Calista have invested in ) is something else, and these guys knew how to use it

Kathy Anderson

A feisty dynamic performance on a big stage from Kathy, encapsulating a wide range of classic covers and modern hits

Especially enjoyed Kathy’s version of Florence and the Machine’s ‘Dog Days are Over’

This girl certainly knows how to engage the audience and get them dancing –  young and old !!

This is what live music is about – get down to the bar and be entertained !

… and finally , the ‘Wedding Crasher’

The group of charity walkers (as previously mentioned) who waltzed into the ‘Beach’  garbed in the most outrageous and inventive costumes brought with them the ‘Hijacker’.

Brian graciously asked if he could perform on the stage, (strangely having brought his guitar with him, even though they were hiking for 10k pub crawl for ‘Joining Jack’), then ‘wowed’ the assembly with great songs, especially ‘Ho Hey’

Great community spirit all round, and special mention to all the locals who filled the charity buckets for a worthwhile cause – Applause !!!!!!

Maybe another idea for the ‘Beach’ –  Open Mike night !

PUNK on the menu ?

‘Skate punk’ !!!   not as brash or controversial or offensive as the original punk bands

This six piece band delivered a bright, effusive, energetic performance reminiscent of rebellious kids striving to be heard and a few acrobatics thrown into the mix and a guest appearance by the mysterious ‘skater’

Infectious fun with a horrendous dress sense !  🙂

Danny Page 25th July 2015

Highly infectious musician with a laid back presence that draws you into his music, confidently blending his voice with guitar and a range of classic and his own songs and poetry – sort of Ed Sheeran  and Paul Simon combined.

Definitely one of the more accomplished performers, and knows his skin and what he wants to aspire to

If local talent can be this good , then watch out for future performances.

AVISO

A young 4 piece indie rock band who write their own music and lyrics

Ashton (lead singer and songwriter), Tom (drummer),  Zander (lead guitar) and Danny (bass).

Impressive variations on modern covers , blended with their own style, and certainly had the crowd entertained down at Chorley Beach. The bassist was definitely in the rift, and the four guys are obviously in sync with each other – don’t know how long they’ve been performing together.

Their cool unflustered manner, instantly lured everyone in but ?….  get the crowd rocking and reeling, moving and grooving, with a few older, older  classic covers ?! Foot tapping under the table, ain’t the way to party 🙂
